Dime Fiction is a collection of fiction written by Michael Stum. Inspired by old dime novels, pulp fiction, newspaper serials and German Groschenromane, this is my creative outlet for fiction. Some of the stories are carefully thought out, while others are just written ad-hoc in a "I have no idea where I'm going, but let's see where I end up" way.
One of the big reasons for this are my previous attempts at NaNoWriMo which I never finished. I would start a story, get about 20k words in, and then have an idea that essentially requires a rewrite, which I can't do in time. Also, sometimes I have another idea for another story or want to explore another arc. By writing them in a blog format, I commit to the stuff I've written before, and I can have multiple stories run in parallel.
For the programmers and technically interested people, this site is built on top of Jekyll and Github Pages. You can find my repository here and a blog post describing the setup process on my blog.
